Missionary, teacher and prophet who strengthened Orthodox faith throughout the Balkans.

Life and Witness

A monk of Mount Athos, Kosmas traveled tirelessly through villages under Ottoman rule, preaching the Gospel and encouraging education. His apostolic ministry ended in martyrdom in 1779.
